| Kidnapped Soldiers Free them Now! |
In order to bring the painstaking effort of attaining peace to its realization, the State of Israel, the only democracy in the Middle East, has made two courageous and exceptional decisions: Withdrawal from Lebanon and disengagement from the Gaza Strip. These were two very difficult decisions made by the courageous leadership of a peace-seeking country. In return, Israel was confronted with hostility, terror and ongoing attacks on its borders with the Gaza Strip and Lebanon. From the beginning of July, Israel has endured malicious and brutal attacks perpetrated on and within its borders by two terrorist organizations: Hammas and Hezbollah. To date, three IDF soldiers have been kidnapped and many killed. As a citizen of the free world, I am calling for the United Nations and my government to ban political, economical and tourist relations with the Lebanese, Iranian and Syrian governments, who serve as host countries to these terror organizations and who are supporting them financially. |

Background Material
On Sunday, June 25, 2006 a group of terrorists kidnapped Gilad Shalit, a soldier in the Israel Defence Forces. The terrorists tunneled underneath the border between Gaza and Israel near Kerem Shalom. In the ensuing attack, two IDF soldiers were killed and several were wounded. The terrorists that conducted the raid were members of the Izz ad-Din al-Qassam Brigades (the military wing of Palestinian governing party Hamas), the Popular Resistance Committees (which includes members of Fatah, Islamic Jihad and Hamas), and the Army of Islam.
Three weeks after Shalit was kidnapped two more IDF soldiers were kidnapped at the northern border with Lebanon. On July 12, 2006 two IDF Humvees were attacked from within Israel by Hezbollah terrorists who succeeded in crossing over into Israel. Three IDF soldiers killed and Udi Goldwasser and Eldad Regev were kidnapped. There is no knowledge of their condition.
